Samba - basic background training

Allow me give you some background training for the lovely dance of samba.

1: listen to the samba music;

2: let your body swing with the music, if you feel like doing it. This will help increasing your musicality when you dance later;

3: try to step on the ball of your foot and make the other foot completely off the ground; this will train you to land your body weight at the same time when your ball of foot touches the ground; this is the secret for dancing samba as opposite to rumba or cha cha.

Let me know if you are not clear of any of the points mentioned above. You will enjoy the by-product of doing this as soon your body figure will improve along with the exercises you do as described above.

Have a nice day & HAPPY DANCING!

Simon

    4. Great !
      Really good for you.
      Sumba is perhaps more of aerobic than samba as ballroom dance. Hope you enjoy your Chinese dance too.
      Let me know if you wish to learn ballroom dances :)
      Happy Dancing !
